Felicity Recap
The last 5 episodes of Felicity are fucking weird. It should have ended with the graduation episode.
I’m not allowed to start a TV show (that I intend only to watch by myself) EVER again.

The Faith Instinct: How Religion Evolved & Why It...
This is one of those books that changed the way I think about the world. Nicholas Wade is neutral through the entire book, never expressing his personal views on religion, only explaining how it came to be. And it’s incredible.
One of many things he discusses is the arrival of religion, and how that allowed humans to evolve to where we are today. In hunter gatherer societies there needed...

An Infinite Jest Holder
I’m searching for a new purse for spring/summer and since I will be taking part in Infinite Summer said purse will obviously need to be able to contain this giant book. Maybe I should start looking into suitcases..

The world is going mad.
nursekate:
“But within the space of a year, Republicans went from passively ignoring the anti-contraception demands of the far right to making the issue a number one priority. Suddenly you have Rush Limbaugh, lover of Viagra and serial marriage, agreeing that the only form of birth control he finds acceptable is closing your legs. The conservative blogosphere came out...

There is nothing like..
Coming home and finding that a beautiful floor lamp with lots of glass pieces has somehow (??) fallen over and shattered. Leaving shards of glass EVERYWHERE. Including in the laundry and in your bed.
It’s physically impossible that the lamp fell onto the bed in any way. And I’m not aware of glass having the ability to bounce.
How the fuck did the glass get into our bed?
How...

I don’t like wedges and I don’t like platforms and I don’t see this ever changing.

New Abortion Laws Come In Disguise
This is outrageous. Woman’s rights have come so far, it is incredible that in 2011 (said in all caps) we are still fighting to maintain the rights we were granted in 1973.
standupforwomen:
“The same bill, passed by the Legislature and awaiting the governor’s signature, would require that women hear what amounts to political persuasion by opponents of legal abortion who run “pregnancy help...
